Job Brief:
Walinga Inc. has an opening in our Guelph location for a Full time Quality Management System Administrator. Responsible for maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies. This role ensures that all quality processes, procedures, and documentation are up-to-date and effective, and supports continuous improvement initiatives across Walinga Inc.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor changes to the ISO 9001 Standard which will affect Walinga’s registration of the QMS
- Maintain and update the QMS documentation, including quality manuals, procedures, and records.
- Ensure compliance with applicable quality standards (e.g. ISO 9001).
- Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs) corporately, corrective actions, and follow-up on their resolution.
- Managing Customer Satisfaction Surveys
- Maintain document control systems to manage the creation, review, approval, distribution, and archiving of quality documents.
- Ensure all quality records are properly maintained and accessible for audits and inspections.
- Provide training and guidance (as per Quality Manager) to employees on QMS processes, procedures, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with the Quality Manager and conduct internal audits to assess the effectiveness of the QMS and identify areas for improvement.
- Coordinate and support external audits with the Quality Manager and inspections by regulatory bodies and certification agencies.
- Ensure timely closure of audit findings and implementation of corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements and best practices.
- Facilitate root cause analysis and problem-solving activities to address quality issues and drive continuous improvement.
- Prepare and present quality reports, metrics, and analyses to management and other stakeholders as assigned.
- Communicate quality-related information effectively across the organization (e.g. Walinga Ink).
Requirements:
- Ability to deal respectfully and professionally with Walinga employees
- Able to communicate effectively with Management, Supervisors, Co-workers; both verbally and in writing
- Ability to analyze and solve problems
- Good judgment and decision-making skills
- Knowledge of relative safety standards and ability to report unsafe conditions and request assistance as may be required
- Willingness to use protective gear
- Ability to give attention to detail
- Proficient in MS Office or similar software
Academic and Trades Qualifications:
- Quality Assurance Certification
- QMS/ISO 9001 training
- Interest in attaining academic qualifications (where requested by Management)
