Job Brief:

The Regional PCS Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing the sales operations related to pneumatic grain handling equipment, managing the PCS sales team, and working directly with customers and dealers throughout all stages of the sales process. The PCS Sales Manager is tasked with developing sales strategies, driving market growth, supporting the dealer network, and ensuring a positive customer experience. 

Role Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage the PCS sales team to meet sales targets while maintaining high performance levels. 
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve business objectives.
  • Monitor market trends, identify new opportunities, and adjust strategies to drive revenue growth and maintain competitive positioning.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and the PCS dealer network, providing coaching and guidance to support business growth.
  • Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely sales proposals. Support the team in negotiating and closing sales deals, ensuring business acquisition and customer satisfaction.
  • Stay informed about industry regulations, market trends, and new technologies. Share updates through team training and participation in industry events.
  • Manage CRM systems to track leads, sales activities, and team performance. Analyze data to identify actionable insights and ensure continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with the Sr. Sales manager to establish pricing, policies, and discount structures.
  • Provide necessary tools for the sales team, including manuals, promotional materials, and technical resources.
  • Work with marketing to set strategies for social media, print media, advertising, trade shows, and lead generation. Coordinate efforts to enhance brand presence.
  • Collaborate with the team to create and update territory plans. Establish and track yearly sales goals in partnership with the Sr. Sales manager.
  • Review financial reports, profit/loss statements, and expenses with the PCS management team to ensure sales goals align with reasonable expense levels.
  • Assist with warehousing, logistics, inventory management, and usage, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on new product development, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and customer needs.
  • Provide monthly management reports, whole goods forecasts, and financial updates. Assist Finance with yearly budgeting processes.
  • Help organize and lead the company’s Annual Sales Meetings, including product-specific training sessions.
  • Ensure all actions related to business are consistent with corporate strategy, ethics, environmental policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience leading and managing sales teams with a record of exceeding targets.
  • Strong understanding of the agriculture sector, particularly pneumatic grain handling, with a passion for innovation in Canadian and US agribusiness.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use data-driven insights for sales strategies and decision-making.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficient organizational and administrative abilities, including CRM expertise.
  • Self-motivated and confident leader with experience in coaching and team development.
  • Basic financial acumen.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean record; willing to travel 40%-60% within Canada and the US.
  • Skilled at understanding customer needs and product applications.

 Academic and Trades Qualifications:

  • Relevant education or equivalent experience in sales, business, or agriculture-related fields is an asset.
  • 5+ years of sales experience.
