Overview
The Robot Welder is responsible for setting up, programming, and operating the automated robotic welding cell to
fuse metal components and assemblies according to engineering specifications.

Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor robotic welding equipment to ensure consistent, high-quality welds
- Set up welding robot, including loading programs, tooling, and fixtures
- Adjust robot parameters (e.g., speed, voltage, wire feed) to meet production and quality standards
- Perform basic programming or editing of robotic weld paths as needed
- Inspect finished welds for defects using visual inspection and measuring tools
- Ensure compliance with welding specifications, blueprints, and safety standards
- Load and unload parts or materials onto robotic workstations
- Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of robotic welding systems
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and coordinate repairs with maintenance teams
- Maintain accurate production and quality records
- Follow all workplace safety procedures, including proper use of PPE
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating and programming robotic welding cells or similar automated metal joining
- equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, interpreting engineering drawings, and understanding geometric
- dimensioning and tolerancing.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail, with the ability to perform basic math calculations.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement in manufacturing processes.
- Willingness to use protective gear and adhere to safety protocols.
- Ability to use hand/power tools and make decisions to solve problems effectively.
- Capable of achieving precise standards and following work instructions.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team
- Good knowledge of welding trade methods and practices, particularly with various metal alloys and their
- weldability and reaction to the welding process.
- Skilled in working from drawings and specifications to determine dimensions, tolerances, and layout of work
- Knowledge of safety standards and the ability to report unsafe conditions.
- Physical Requirements
- Range or Motion: ability to climb, walk, squat, kneel and perform above shoulder height activity.
- Lift from floor to waist.
- Lift from waist to shoulder and above shoulder height a maximum of 10 lbs.
- Work in various temperatures, cold and heat.
