Job Brief

The PCS Sales Representative is responsible for selling pneumatic grain handling equipment and working directly with customers and dealers throughout all phases of the sales process. This role focuses on identifying market needs, recommending appropriate products and systems, developing dealer relationships, and ensuring customers have a positive experience with Walinga.

Role Responsibilities

  • Grow PCS sales within the assigned territory.
  • Support and develop existing dealers while identifying new dealer and customer opportunities.
  • Work with customers to understand their applications and recommend the appropriate equipment or system.
  • Prepare accurate quotes and equipment recommendations.
  • Develop a strong working knowledge of Walinga PCS equipment and applications.
  • Provide basic technical and application support, working with Engineering and Service when required.
  • Participate in customer visits, equipment demonstrations, dealer training, and trade shows.
  • Maintain accurate customer, dealer, and sales activity information in the CRM.

Requirements

  • Strong interest in agriculture, grain handling, and technical equipment.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to understand equipment and applications.
  • Practical problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable managing a sales territory.
  • Organized with strong follow-up skills.
  • Willing and able to travel regularly throughout the territory.
  • Previous agricultural, equipment, industrial, or technical sales experience is an asset.
  • Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record.

Academic and Trades Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Business, Agriculture, Engineering Technology, or a related field is an asset, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Experience in technical sales, agricultural equipment, grain handling, or a related industry is preferred.
