Principle Roles & Responsibilities:
- Read drawings and take or read measurements
- Fabricate equipment by cutting and welding various metals
- Set up components for welding according to specifications
- Inspect welded joints for quality, completeness, and compliance with specifications, using visual inspection methods and non-destructive testing techniques when required
- Align components using calipers, rulers, clamp pieces, etc.
- Weld components using manual or semi automatic welding equipment in various positions
- Maintain equipment and work area within department in a condition that does not compromise safety
- Participate in skill set and safety training as applicable
- Perform other duties as assigned in various departments as skill set reflects ability
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or one year of equivalent work experience
- Ability to operate hand tools
- Keen attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- Positive attitude and willing to learn
- Works well independently and in a team setting
