Overview

Walinga, a leader in the agricultural equipment industry, is looking for a Trailer Equipment Technician/Mechanic at the Wallenstein location to keep our customers running smoothly. If you’re hands-on, love problem-solving, and want to be part of a growing company that values craftsmanship and innovation, this role is for you. The ideal candidate will possess mechanical knowledge and some experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and air systems using tools and specialized equipment
  • Test and optimize systems to meet Walinga standards.
  • Advise supervisors on work performed and general trailer conditions and recommend future repairs that may be required.
  • Participate and specialized training for Walinga Transportation and pneumatic conveying equipment
  • Maintain a clean, safe workspace that adheres to safety standards.
  • Perform other duties across departments as needed based on your skill set.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Mechanical repair, hydraulics, pneumatics, and 12-volt electrical systems (preferred).
  • Welding experience and familiarity with welding tools/equipment is an asset
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and English instructions.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
  • A high school diploma (or equivalent) is an asset
  • Ability to climb, walk, kneel, squat, and perform overhead work.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working in various temperatures.
