Overview

As a Service Manager for Walinga USA, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our customers receive top-notch service and support for their agricultural equipment. You will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the service department, ensuring efficient scheduling, high-quality repairs, and superior customer satisfaction. This role involves managing service personnel, coordinating with parts and sales teams, and maintaining compliance with company standards and safety protocols. Responsibilities

  • Oversee all service department operations, ensuring timely, high-quality maintenance and repairs.
  • Supervise, train, and support service technicians and administrative staff.
  • Schedule and prioritize service work to maximize efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Communicate with customers to provide estimates, updates, and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
  • Monitor department performance metrics, including productivity, turnaround times, and warranty claims.
  • Coordinate with parts, sales, and operations teams to ensure smooth workflow and clear communication.
  • Oversee inventory and material management for the service department, ensuring parts availability, accuracy, and cost control.
  • Work closely with the parts department to forecast demand, manage reorder levels, and minimize downtime due to shortages.
  • Maintain accurate service records, invoices, and warranty documentation.Ensure all work complies with safety standards, manufacturer guidelines, and company policies.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve service efficiency and profitability.
  • Manage departmental budgets, control costs, and monitor inventory levels
  • Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment focused on quality and customer care.

Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Agriculture, Mechanical, or related field (preferred)
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience required.
  • Experience in agricultural, heavy equipment, or industrial service environments strongly preferred.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in service operations, maintenance management, or a related technical field.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage, train, and motivate a team of technicians.
  • Proficient in scheduling, workflow management, and service reporting systems.
  • Solid mechanical and technical understanding of equipment and repair processes.Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities under pressure.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Working knowledge of safety standards, warranty processes, and compliance requirements.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and service management software (e.g., CDK, DealerTrack, etc.).
  • Willingness to work extended hours or weekends during peak seasons.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of service quality and integrity.
