Overview
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic & Service Technician to join our team. In this dual role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining plant infrastructure, production machinery, and Walinga transportation equipment to ensure optimal functionality, reliability, and safety.
Utilizing specialized tools and diagnostic equipment, you will perform complex mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical troubleshooting, disassembling units and inspecting parts for wear using micrometers, calipers, and thickness gauges. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, keen attention to detail, and proactive problem-solving skills to minimize facility downtime and maintain a safe working environment.

Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on facility equipment and machinery, as well as facility infrastructure.
- Assist in the installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment and machinery.
- Identify and recommend improvements to maintenance processes and procedures.
- Maintain complete and accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment data within the Asset Master system in accordance with company tracking standards.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and scheduled service on Walinga transportation units and trailers.
- Test, adjust, and change repaired systems to required standards.
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues and perform necessary repairs.
- Inspect, repair, and replace defective or worn-out machine and trailer components using hand, power, and air tools.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and manuals to aid in troubleshooting, dimensions, and tolerances.
- Conduct welding, fabricating, and machining tasks as required
- Review work orders with supervisors and maintain accurate maintenance logs, records, and documentation.
- Advise Supervisor of work performed, general equipment/trailer condition, and future repairs to be considered.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, relative safety standards, and company policies.
- Work collaboratively with teams to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.
- Participate in skill set and safety training, performing cross-departmental duties as skill set reflects ability.
Qualifications
- roven experience as a maintenance mechanic, industrial mechanic, or service
- technician.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, expert knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, air tools, and diagnostic
- automotive/industrial equipment.
- Welding and fabrication experience Ability to read, understand, and follow instructions, blueprints, and technical
- schematics.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and good knowledge of standard trade methods and metal alloys.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills for maintenance record-keeping.
- Range of Motion: ability to climb, walk, squat, kneel, and perform above shoulder height activity.
- Work in various weld positions (flat and vertical planes, overhead).
- Lift from floor to waist.
- Lift from waist to shoulder and above shoulder height a maximum of 10 lbs.
- Work in various temperatures (heat and cold).
- Ability to work with or around chemicals.
