Overview

The Inspection/QA Assistant ensures that products meet or exceed quality standards for customers of Walinga.

Responsibilities

  • Verify units/products conform to Job Order Specifications.
  • Test and inspect units and installed options for proper fit, function, and compliance with quality standards and legislative requirements.
  • Document issues and coordinate follow-up for corrections.
  • Verify that corrections and modifications meet unit specifications and quality standards.
  • Install conspicuity tape and required decals (safety, warning, certification).
  • Perform final finishing and clean-up to prepare the unit for delivery.
  • Assemble and record information for Operators Manuals.
  • Provide customers with appropriate warranty information.
  • Take detailed photos of completed units for reference.
  • Complete production and inspection records.
  • Monitor and assist with online inspections.
  • Maintain equipment and work area to ensure safety.
  • Perform other duties as assigned across departments.

Qualifications

  • Comprehensive understanding of departmental operations and standard trade practices.
  • Proficiency in safe equipment and tool use, including hand and power tools.
  • Approachable and empathetic leadership, balancing work-life considerations while driving team performance.
  • Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Competency in reading and interpreting welding and design drawings.
  • Strong math and critical thinking skills with exceptional problem-solving ability.
  • Computer literacy, including document organization and maintenance.
  • Willingness to use protective gear as required.
  • Ability to complete onboarding, inspections, equipment logs, and accident reports.

Experience

  • One year of equivalent work experience is preferred.
