Overview
The Precision Sub-Assembler performs diversified mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly of moderately complex units, requiring adjusting, fitting, and aligning to ordinary tolerances. This role utilizes technical drawings and tools, and requires increased problem-solving and quality control skills.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret basic assembly drawings and specifications to guide tasks.
- Skillfully adjust, fit, and align components to meet ordinary tolerances
- Safely and effectively use common hand tools and operate assembly machines
- Inspect and test the complete unit or sub-assembly to monitor quality.
- Demonstrate flexibility by rotating between stations within a work cell.
- Maintain continuous quality and efficiency for repetitive tasks
- Complete necessary logging and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications
- Related training and/or experience of less than 1 year is preferred.
- Proficiency in reading drawings and basic math skills.
- Ability to use common hand tools and operate assembly machines.
- Demonstrated ability to fit and align components accurately.
