Job Summary:

We are looking for an organized Engineering Administrator to support the daily operations and project needs of our Engineering department. The Engineering Administrator will manage schedules, coordinate key processes, and handle administrative tasks that ensure the team’s success. Further, the Engineering Administrator will streamline workflows, maintain accurate records, and enable the department to deliver high-quality results on time.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Process the comments on Unit Specifications. Manage work order change notifications and ensure clear communication of updates to all stakeholders.
  • Direct Design Support Requests from production to the appropriate designers. 
  • Assist with workload management and scheduling to ensure efficient allocation of resources
  • Review issues from production and inspection reports (i.e. PDI reports), ensuring accurate resolutions are being derived. 
  • Update and coordinate the Departmental Risk Management Status Report and assist the engineers to ensure corrective action is taken. 
  • Review the New Unit Feedback register and help drive corrective action.
  • Review projects for government funding, such as Scientific Research & Experimental Development (SRED) & Industrial Research Assistance Program (IRAP), and generate the reports.
  • Maintain and update internal databases, including Product Master, Wiki knowledge base, and Engineering Change Request (ECR) system.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in an administrative, coordination or internal sales role, ideally within an engineering or technical environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with engineering concepts or technical documentation is beneficial.
  • Experience with data analysis tools (e.g. Power BI) is an advantage.

Academic and Trades Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree / Diploma
    - or - 
  • High school diploma with 1+ years of relevant work experience
